The Union's Destruction in Georgia

The Civil War has come to Georgia. Major Battles are occurring. General Grant was trapped in Chattanooga with his army until a supply line opened. After he got out of the city he made his way to Chickamauga. Once there, a bloody battle occurred. The Union retreated. General Winfield (USA) decided that in order to split the south a blockade should be formed. He succeeded and the South's economy plummeted. The Union took the opportunity to strike Atlanta, "the Center of the Confederacy". They succeeded and began Sherman's Atlanta Campaign. During the campaign, he made life miserable for the civilians. He wanted the civilians to stop supporting the confederacy. Then, Sherman's March to the Sea began.  During the march, Sherman destroyed everything in his path from Atlanta to Savannah. He wanted to strike fear into the hearts of the civilians.  He followed this up with a similar run through South Carolina.
